MAI’s First Ever Ultra Short Film Competition
In the Summer of 2020, MAI launched our first ever Ultra Short Film Contest. This film contest was held for youth and young adults (ages 12-25) to “Capture the Brilliance of CHE” in 2 minutes or less. For this contest, MAI requested the participants to spotlight the CHE Core Value #2a LOCAL OWNERSHIP moving the viewer in a creative, intriguing and sensational way. There were no requirements for specific types of equipment to create their film (ex. iPhones and other smart devices were acceptable).
A team from Reliant Creative volunteered their expertise as judges. We were pleasantly surprised to receive submissions from around the globe including British Columbia, USA, Egypt, Peru, Nigeria, India and more!
We are excited to announce the winners at a live streaming event on February 26, 2021 at 7 pm PST. Our judges and winners will be joining us to showcase their masterpiece! Prizes are as follows: first ($500 award), second ($300 award) and third place winners ($200 award).
We look forward to making this an annual event to engage young people in our mission. Please contact us if you’d like to sponsor the next contest or participate.
You are invited to tune in and celebrate these incredibly gifted young adults. They will share what inspired them to make the film and a little about their culture.
Please RSVP here for viewing instructions.
See you there!
