Steve Otradovec
Global Coordinator
Medical Ambassadors International
TERM: 2023
Steve Otradovec serves as the Global Coordinator for Medical Ambassadors International. He has been involved in Christ-centered community development work for 7 years and served as a full-time missionary in Cambodia for 3 years.
Prior to working in full-time ministry, Steve led the technical lab services department for an innovative biotechnology company focused on drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics research for 14 years. In this role, he focused on creating efficiency improvements in the laboratories with advanced robotics and laboratory information management systems. During his time, the Lord was actively preparing Steve and his family for future mission work overseas. Steve served on the mission board of his home church, led short-term mission teams, and facilitated discipleship groups in his workplace and at home. He also took ongoing bible, worldview, missions and apologetics courses through the Nazarene School of Ministry and other training programs. In 2013, the Lord opened the door for Steve and his family to go full-time into ministry and they moved to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. On the field, they made many enduring friendships with locals through discipleship ministry, language learning and service alongside several Christian NGOs. After returning to the U.S., Steve took a role as the Southeast Asia Regional Director of Development Programs for a U.S. based ministry where he facilitated CHE programs across the region by training, coaching, and encouraging indigenous church leaders and volunteers. He also led efforts in developing a Theory of Change and assessing impact for their global ministry.
Steve has been married to his wife Lucy for 28 years and they have 2 daughters, ages 22 and 16. They currently live in Colorado where they enjoy hiking with their goldendoodle KC, attending concerts, playing his ukulele, and cheering for their hometown Kansas City Chiefs.
