Alice earned her Doctor of Public Health from the University of South Florida with an emphasis in Advanced Public Health Leadership and holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Texas. An Archibald Bush Foundation Fellow, Alice grew up in Kenya, where she was trained in CHE at a young age, quickly advancing to become MAI’s country coordinator for Kenya. During that time period, she trained Winnie Githaka, one of MAI’s current regional coordinators, who took over the area from Alice when Alice moved with her husband to the USA.
She is an extremely experienced public health leader with a demonstrated history of working in program development, community outreach, and health surveillance. She brings strong professional skills in Health Communication, Epidemiology, Prevention, Community Engagement, and Public Health Leadership to Medical Ambassadors as one of our board members.
Alice is currently employed by the North Dakota Public Health department where she has served since 2007, working remotely from the home she shares with her family in Riverside, CA.
